Ceramic coating bonds to the paint to create a harder, slicker surface than wax alone. Dirt and water release more easily, washing takes less effort, and the finish holds its gloss for longer. Coating is always applied over properly prepared paint, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.

How long does a ceramic coating last?
It depends on more than the product: the coating used, the Queensland climate, whether the car is garaged, and above all how it is washed. We will tell you what we are putting on your car and what it is rated to do, rather than quote a number that may not apply to your vehicle.
Is ceramic coating better than wax?
It is a harder, slicker surface than wax alone, so dirt and water release more easily and washing takes less effort. It is not maintenance free, and it does not improve the paint underneath it.
How should I wash a coated car?
Stay out of brush-based automatic car washes, use two buckets and a pH neutral shampoo, and dry with a clean microfibre. That is the single biggest factor in how long a coating keeps performing.
