How much does paint protection cost?
Paint protection starts from $900, which covers preparing and correcting the paint and then protecting that finish. The final figure depends on the size of the vehicle and how much work the paint needs first.
Why does paint protection cost more at some shops than others?
Almost always because of what is included before the protection goes on. Protection preserves whatever condition the paint is already in, so a genuine job corrects the paint first. That preparation is usually the larger part of the work, and it is the part a cheap quote quietly skips.
Can you apply protection without correcting the paint first?
We would rather not. A coating applied over swirl marks seals the swirl marks in, sometimes for years. If your paint is already in good condition it needs less preparation, and we will say so.
